Are you a male leader looking to understand and learn how to better support female leaders?
Generally, men and women have different priorities in how they approach work activities, varying in their approaches to relationships, competition, and communication. We know that men and women are equally capable of being excellent leaders, but often do so in diverse ways, and are subject to distinctive biases and assumptions.
Conversations and conferences on women’s leadership are plentiful, yet most often targeted to ways in which women can help themselves and support each other. Women cannot be the only ones doing things differently; men must also be willing to understand and change.
To Help Advance Women, Men Must Lead the Charge.
The fact that most of the senior leadership and board positions are held by men means that women need the help of men in bringing women to the table.

INSTRUCTORS: We are really excited to have Tom Pimental, Senior Director, Product at Care.com, as a co-facilitator for this session! He will share insights from his years of experience inside companies, including from his current role. More about Tom: he has worn many hats in his pursuit to build great customer-first user experiences and applications. From design and development to marketing and analytics, Tom is a quintessential Jack-of-all-trades. He so embraced this persona, he named his son"Jack". Tom has spent the last nine years at Care.com helping develop options to allow moms to return to work after maternity leave, families to navigate the stressful maze of caring for an aging loved one, and easing the hassle of how one pays for care expenses (the second largest household expense for families after housing). When not spending time with his family of five, Tom enjoys playing old-man softball, listening to music you've never heard of, and the idea of riding the bicycle he bought himself as a graduation gift after completing a part-time MBA program at Babson last summer.
Stefanie Heiter of Bridging Distance will be the other half of this duo, guiding the content discussion, as well as inserting a female perspective, when needed.
